Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced Wednesday an automatic one-month extension of all visit visas that have expired or are set to expire under current exceptional circumstances.

The ministry said the extension will take effect from February 28, 2026, and will be processed automatically through the electronic system, without requiring visits to residency affairs departments.

It added that all applicable fees and fines related to the extensions will be waived during the period.

Residents who remain outside Kuwait and have exceeded the permitted absence period will be granted an additional three-month absence permit. The permit will also be issued automatically through the electronic system, without in-person procedures or fees.

The ministry said the specified periods may be extended depending on developments in the country’s situation and urged the public to follow its official channels for updates.
