The Jeddah Governorate Secretariat announced the partial reopening of the seafronts in the city with strict protocols under the directives of Jeddah Governor Prince Mishaal Bin Majed.

The partial reopening comes in with restrictions such as allowing the entry of vehicles to pass through seafronts without stopping and prevents sitting, squatting or waiting. Walking or cycling following the precautionary measures in the corniche seafront are permitted.

In a related context, the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing of the Kingdom have monitored 2,960 violations of preventive protocols to limit the spread of the pandemic and closed down 550 establishments.

The Jeddah Secretariat stipulated that employees and visitors should ensure that the 'Tawakkalna' ( The official application approved by the Health Ministry of Saudi to prevent the spread of Covid-19) application is activated upon entry into government and private offices to verify their health status. It has been made mandatory for all Saudis and expatriates in the Eastern Province from the start of February.
