Israel launches 70 strikes at Gaza overnight; at least 92 killed

Gaza: Hamas informed on Saturday that overnight strikes by Israel on Gaza have killed dozens, while Israel's Mossad chief is in Paris to advance negotiations for a truce, Agence France-Presse reported.
Israel joined negotiation talks following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu proposing a plan for a post-war Gaza. The plan, however, gathered severe criticism from Israel's main ally, the US, and it was rejected by Hamas as well as the Palestinian authority in the occupied West Bank.
UNRWA, the United Nations' prime aid body to Palestine, said that the people of Gaza were "in extreme peril while the world watches".
On Saturday, Hamas stated that Israel launched more than 70 strikes on civilian dwellings in Deir al-Balah, Khan Yunis Rafah, and other locations over 24 hours. Hamas' health ministry said that at least 92 people were killed in the strikes. Further, Hamas added that fighting is still going on in Zeitun.
AFPTV aired footage featuring distraught Gazans queuing for food in multiple locations, and they were seen protesting over their living conditions. A Gazan told AFP that they have no food or water and are tired of hunger. "Our backs and eyes hurt because of fire and smoke," the person was quoted by AFP.
Earlier this week, Netanyahu published the plan for a post-war Gaza. It proposes Palestinian officials running civil affairs but completely detached from Hamas.
Further, the plan states that the Israeli army will have indefinite freedom inside Palestine to prevent the resurgence of terror activity, even after the war. It said that Israel would carry on with the plan, which is already underway, to install a security buffer zone inside Gaza along its border.
However, Hamas has dismissed the plan.
