Israel heads to another election after Bennett declares his Govt not tenable

Tel Aviv: Israeli is heading towards its fifth election in a span of four years after its parliament, the Knesset, unanimously voted for a draft bill to dissolve parliament.
Both the coalition parties and the opposition parties have been arguing over the dissolution bill in the Parliament.
The members of the coalition government led by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett sought the quick approval of the bill, while the opposition led by the former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted the Parliament to allow running the government under his leadership to avoid elections.
The dissolution bill surfaced after Bennett announced that his year old, ideologically divided eight-party coalition is no longer tenable.
The sides have traded legislative jabs, but finally agreed late Monday to advance a bill that would be finalized as law by the end of Wednesday.
According to the bill, parliament would dissolve, with new elections to be held on October 25 or November 1, with the date to be set after further negotiations.
The Bennett coalition, a motley alliance of religious nationalists, secular hawks, centrists, doves and Arab Islamists, was imperilled by its ideological divides from its outset.
