Emirates has announced that it will operate flights from London Heathrow and Manchester in the UK to Dubai from Tuesday.

In a new update on its flights to the UK, the airline said that customers wishing to leave the Kingdom on these flights should ensure that they are authorized to travel under the latest UK government rules and meet their final destination's travel requirements.

With the UK announcing a sudden ban on arrivals from UAE on January 29th, many travellers were caught unexpectedly with only a few hours' warning. UAE is one of the 33 countries in the UK's red list of countries from which travel to the UK is restricted. The list was prepared to prevent the spread of a new strain of coronavirus in the country.

Dubai recently updated travel protocols, which took effect on January 31st, which requires all travellers to do a PCR test before departure to Dubai irrespective of the country they are coming from. The emirates also mandate an additional test upon arrival from certain countries.
