Abu Dhabi: The Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi launched a new series of cultural and creative events for the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair virtually. Aiming at highlighting the work of a group of Emirati and international illustrators during the pandemic.

The "illustrators' Virtual Corner" series, which launched on October 18, will host a group of illustrators who registered their participation in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2020, in addition to the illustrators who participated in the Al Ain Book Fair and Al Dhafra Book Fair last year. This series aims to award the participating artists.

Nearly a year since the start of the Corona pandemic, the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair organized a symposium entitled "How to protect ourselves from Covid-19", in which the Kuwaiti writer Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Malik spoke about ways to prevent this virus, and the changes that affected the pattern Our lives during the pandemic and how long it will last in the future.

The exhibition will host its next symposium presented by Talal Adnan Al-Buhairi, who specializes in criticizing negative phenomena on social media, in order to highlight the impact of social media on the younger generations, Kuwaiti novelist Fadwa Al-Tawil talks about the reality of police literature in the Arab world, and the challenges it faces in its direction towards the world.

His Excellency Abdullah Majed Al Ali, Executive Director of the Dar Al Kutub Sector at the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi, said: "Despite the effects of the Corona pandemic on various aspects of life, many artists in the UAE and around the world have witnessed a positive impact during the last period. The pandemic has given them more time to try new drawing techniques, and it has given them the inspiration to create creations that fit the current stage. "
