Dolce & Gabbana launches luxury dog perfume priced at Rs 9,000
text_fieldsItalian luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana has introduced Fefe, a high-end dog perfume inspired by designer Domenico Dolce's own dog, Fefe.
Described as a "tender and embracing fragrance crafted for a playful beauty routine," the alcohol-free scented mist is priced at approximately 99 euros (Rs 9,000).
The perfume is packaged in a sleek green lacquered glass bottle, featuring a vibrant red metal cap and a 24-carat gold-plated paw, highlighting its luxurious appeal.
According to Dolce & Gabbana, the fragrance blends fresh and delicate notes of ylang ylang, musk, and sandalwood. Dog owners are advised to spray the perfume on their hands before gently rubbing it into their dog's fur from the middle of the body toward the tail, providing a moment of scented pampering.
The company has assured that no animals were mistreated during the campaign, emphasizing that their safety was fully protected.
However, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) has cautioned against using strong-scented products on dogs, as these can interfere with their sense of smell, which is crucial for communication and interaction with their environment. RSPCA senior scientific officer Alice Potter advised against anthropomorphizing dogs and highlighted that some scents can be unpleasant for them.
This launch adds a unique product to Dolce & Gabbana's luxury offerings, aiming to cater to pet owners seeking high-end care for their furry companions.
