Resident doctors shut down OPD counters in the national capital on Monday, sparking chaos.

After the police action on Monday, the doctors called for a total shutdown of medical services in hospitals, demanding an apology for the Delhi Police's action against them.

At Centre-run Safdarjung hospital, doctors protested outside the emergency ward and obstructed all emergency services, including ambulance services.

At Delhi's Chacha Nehru Children Hospital, patients were badly affected after protesting doctors closed the main door and stopped patients from visiting the hospital.

At Ram Manohar Lohia hospital, doctors stopped the OPD and other medical services for some time. However, OPD services were resumed after a brief suspension with senior doctors and consultants attending to the patients.

In AIIMS, the resident doctors' association has withdrawn all non-emergency work from Tuesday until and unless the government takes steps against the violence faced by doctors during their protest on Monday. Protesting doctors marched from Safdarjung hospital towards the Union Health ministry's office to register protest against the police action against doctor' protest on Monday. Resident doctors associations countrywide have been protesting against the postponement of the NEET-PG counselling 2021 since November 27.
