As per a notice released by the National Testing Agency on Wednesday, the last date for submitting the online application form of UGC-NET December 2020 Cycle (May 2021) for Junior Research Fellowship and eligibility for Assistant Professor has been extended from March 2 to March 9.

According to the new schedule, eligible candidates can apply online until 11.50 PM on March 9, 2021. The application fee can be paid until 11.50 PM on March 10, 2021. Candidates can correct the details submitted by them in their application forms once the correction window is open. The correction window would be available from March 12- March 16.

The notice adds that the extension has been done "in view of a number of requests being received in this regard".

National Eligibility Tests are usually held twice a year, in June and December. However, in 2020, both cycles were delayed due to the pandemic. While the June '20 session exams were conducted late in September '20 and October '20, the December '20 cycle exams are scheduled to be conducted in May '21.
