Kozhikode: Season 2 of the 'LeadHerShip' campaign, jointly organised by Madhyamam and Malabar Gold and Diamonds to promote women to leadership positions in society and equip them to take up leadership roles across various sectors, was launched on Saturday.

District Collector M.S. Madhavikutty unveiled the campaign logo at a function held at Montana Estate, the headquarters of the Malabar Group. Inaugurating the event, she said women's empowerment must begin at home and efforts to achieve it should start within households.

Delivering the keynote address, Malabar Group Chairman M.P. Ahammed said the initiative was a matter of pride for the group and was being undertaken as part of its social responsibility towards women.

Madhyamam CEO P.M. Salih delivered the introductory address. MeFriend Director Saleem Ambalan, Malabar Group Head of Leadership Development Rani Archana Daniel and Head of Public Affairs U.V. Jose also spoke. Executive Director A.K. Nishad delivered the vote of thanks.

MeFriend is coordinating the campaign.

The 'LeadHerShip' campaign seeks to move beyond discussions on women's empowerment towards the practical development of women leaders. Its programmes will cover various subjects, including financial empowerment, artificial intelligence, social advancement and leadership development.
