Ernakulam: In the Sabarimala gold theft case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) will approach the High Court challenging the order granting bail to the Thantri.

The SIT is set to inform the High Court that there is evidence against the Thantri and that the lower court’s order could adversely affect the case.

It will also argue that the evidence against the Thantri was not fully placed before the court during the bail hearing and will seek the removal of certain observations made in the order.

Meanwhile, Minister P. Rajeev said that the government need not state its position on the appeal against the bail granted to the Sabarimala Thantri. He added that there were unusual aspects in the court order granting bail.
