Thiruvananthapuram: Poet and lyricist Anil Panachooran breathed his last in a private hospital here at 8.p.m Sunday.
The 55-year-old was taken to hospital after fainting, before died of a heart attack.
Hospital sources confirmed him having tested positive for covid 19.
Anil Panachooran rose to fame with the songs in Sreenivasan starrer 'Arabikkatha' , especially the one " Chora veena mannilninnuyarnnu vanna poomaram".
Anilkumar started his career as a lawyer before making good in tinsel world with notables like " Vethyasthanamoru barbarambalane" in the movie " Kathaparayumbol".
He is survived by wife Maya and their children Maitreyi and Arun.
