New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday issued strong warnings to realtors in the Maradu Flat demolition case to deposit interim compensation money or the attached assets should be sold in case of non-compliance.

A bench of Justices Rohington F. Nariman, Krishna Murari and Aniruddha Bose heard the matter and asked the four developers to submit their written submissions pertaining to their proposal to deposit the interim compensation within a period of four weeks.

The apex court also appointed Advocate Gaurav Aggarval to assist Justice Balakrishnan Nair Committee which was appointed by the court to look after the payment of the compensation to each of the flat owners, as well as to assess the actual amount paid.

On Friday, Justice Nariman asked the developers to place a proposal stipulating concrete methods for compensation payment to avert the repercussions of the course of law that would be followed.

The court informed the parties that they would be allowed to make their submissions in the next hearing in December.
