Kerala: RSS activist hacked to death a day after SDPI leader's murder
text_fieldsPalakkad/Kerala: A day after the gruesome murder of an SDPI worker in Kerala's Palakkad district, an RSS activist also got hacked on Saturday, an alleged retaliation to the former, PTI reports.
Srinivasan, 45, was hacked in broad daylight at his own shop by three assailants who arrived on bikes in Palakkad town. The victim, a former physical education instructor of RSS, was taken to hospital immediately but his life couldn't be saved.
On Friday, 43-year-old Subair of SDPI was hacked to death at Elappully here while on his way home after Friday prayers. His vehicle was hit by a car from behind, and a five-membered team hacked him to death.
Now, BJP has alleged that the SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India), the political offshoot of PFI (Popular Front of India), was behind Srinivasan's killing. BJP state leader Krishnakumar said that Subair's murder had not been confirmed if political, though the SDPI alleged so. He said that, therefore, they killed Srinivasan, India Today reports.
