Kerala Police arrested seven suspects in connection with sex exchange

After a woman complained to the Karukachal police in the Kottayam district, the Kerala Police arrested seven suspects in connection with sex exchange.
Besides the seven arrested individuals, over 25 people are being observed, and more arrests will likely take place over the next few days.
It is estimated that there are over 1,000 couples in these groups, who exchange women. Police said the accused come from three districts of the state, and that people from all over are involved with this racket.
This group includes people in the higher echelons of society, according to sources.According to a senior police official from Kottayam, the mode of operation is first to join Messenger and Telegram groups. The couple then meets periodically to exchange women. Once women are exchanged, there have even been cases when a woman is shared among three men at a time. There was money exchanged as well as some men providing their wives with money in exchange for a day of physical intimacy."
An in-depth investigation is underway to obtain the details of those participating in this group as well as whether these women have relationships with other groups.
