The Governor's unusual action comes after the Supreme Court's ruling, quashing the appointment of the Vice Chancellor of the APJ Abdulkalam Technical University (KTU). Pointing out that the appointment of the Vice Chancellor, Dr MS Rajshree, is not as per UGC rules, the apex court had quashed the appointment.
