Kalyan Jewellers extends helping hand to Mundathicode tragedy affected

Thrissur, 12 June 2026: Kalyan Jewellers today handed over financial assistance for the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic fireworks explosion at Mundathicode, Thrissur. Mr TS Kalyanaraman, Managing Director, Kalyan Jewellers, presented the cheque to Smt. Shikha Surendran IAS, District Collector & District Magistrate, Thrissur, at the Collectorate Office, who subsequently disbursed the assistance to the 16 affected families in his presence.
The financial assistance forms part of the company's commitment announced in April, under which Kalyan Jewellers pledged support of ₹5 lakh each to the families of the deceased.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. T.S. Kalyanaraman, Managing Director, Kalyan Jewellers, said, “The Mundathicode tragedy deeply saddened all of us. As a company headquartered in Thrissur, we felt it was our responsibility to stand by the families who have suffered an irreparable loss. While no amount of support can compensate for the grief they have endured, we hope this assistance provides some relief during this difficult period. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the affected families.”
Kalyan Jewellers acknowledged the support extended by the District Administration in facilitating the disbursement process, enabling the pledged assistance to reach the affected families.
