Politics is usually a battleground for power position and there is some exception. Communist Party of India (CPI) leader from Kerala's Kasargode district T.K. Krishnan is an exception for the power-driven political activities. The latest incident proves this again.

Krishnan, who is the State Committee Member of CPI refused to take up the Chairman post of the Poultry Development Corporation, Kerala. In the light of Krishnan's letter to the state leadership to withdraw his nomination to the concerned position, the CPI state committee decided to nominate AITUC Wayanad district president T.K. Moorthy to the position.

On December 15 the party State Committee decided to distribute the 15 board and corporation posts allotted to CPI among the districts. Krishnan received his share from Kasargod district. Although he had already informed at the meeting that he was not interested in the post, the party did not consider it.

He then wrote a letter to the leadership stating his disinterest to take up the offered position. When the party's State Secretary Kanam Rajendran inquired about the matter with Krishnan, he was adamant that it should be avoided. Then the executive joined and TK. Murthy was asked to assume the post.

Chairman post of Poultry Development Corporation which comes under the Animal Husbandry Department is a rank that offers official car, personal staff, monthly salary, and other allowances. Incumbent Animal Husbandry Minister J.S. Chinchurani was the last chairperson of the corporation. AITUC District President T.K. Krishnan has been a full-time party worker since his youth.

T. K. Krishnan grew up in a normal family and went through a lot of hardships. He was a member of Chemmanad Grama Panchayat before Krishnan Panchayati Raj came into existence. When asked the reason for the resignation of the chairman of the corporation, he said, 'There are no other reasons. Because he is not interested. The party accepted it. ' At this time, the AITUC leader was looking for a worker at the STU workers' rest area near the new bus stand in Kasargod.
