After the reported cases of measles, an emergency task force was formed on Tuesday under the patronage of the district collector. Collector N Tej Lohit Reddy said that Those children, who are yet to receive the mandatory vaccine, should be administered it at the earliest.
He said that a joint effort of various departments of the government has already started to restrict the further spread of the disease. There will be awareness campaigns to educate and persuade parents to inoculate their kids. It is learnt that those infected children are those who were yet to get jabbed. Therefore, all parents have been directed to vaccinate their children without fail, the collector added.
