Actress withdraws sexual harassment against Mukesh and others
text_fieldsThiruvananthapuram: In the sexual harassment complaint against Malayalam actor-cum-politician Mukesh and others, the complainant said she is withdrawing the case. The complainant, also an actor, told the media that she would send an email to the investigation team regarding this. According to her, she did not get the required support from the state government for her cause, and she added that the government was not ready to prove the truth in the POCSO case filed against her.
In her complaint, the actress accused seven people, including actors Jayasurya, Idavela Babu and Balachandra Menon. The others were Noble and Bichu from the film industry and an advocate Chandrasekharan of the Congress Advocates’ Association.
According to the actress, who hails from Ernakulam’s Aluva, actor Mukesh had taken her to a villa in Maradu and raped her. This was when he was an executive member of the Malayalam film workers organisation AMMA.
However, Mukesh told the court that she had made the allegations after 14 years with the malicious intention of destroying his political future and film career and that the allegations were baseless. The actor also presented documents in court, including a chat with him in which the complainant asked for Rs 11 lakh.
