Action against ADGP: ‘Not obligated to respond to CPI allegations’-TP Ramakrishnan
text_fieldsThiruvananthapuram: LDF Convenor TP Ramakrishnan said that he is not obliged to answer all the allegations of CPI regarding the removal of ADGP MR Ajithkumar. He stated that it needs to be asked to themselves as to why the CPI is not convinced by the government's justification. He said that the complaint related to Thrissurpur is present before the government and let the vigilance inquiry report against ADGP come. Only then will there be clarity on the issue of financial transactions? Appropriate decisions will be taken by the government in this regard as well. PV Anwar MLA's complaint against P Sasi has not come before LDF. He also said that no complaint has come to his attention.
Meanwhile, CPI leader VS Sunil Kumar said that the stance of the police that no action has been taken in this regard even after four months of announcing an investigation into the disruption of the Thrissur Pooram is shocking and mysterious. There is a conspiracy behind the riots. Society has a right to know who is behind it. Four months ago, the Chief Minister had announced an inquiry into the disruption of the Puram. However, when he asked for a report related to it, the police's reply that no such investigation had been conducted was shocking, he said.
‘It should be investigated whether individuals or organizations have been involved in disruption. BJP attempted to polarize and win votes,’ he stated.
He further said that he would file an RTI application seeking the investigation report on the disruption. RTI documents have revealed that no investigation was conducted into the disruption of Thrissur Pooram in April, despite a government announcement of a probe. A response from police headquarters confirmed that no steps were taken to initiate the investigation
