4125 fresh Covid-19 cases reported in Kerala on Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told the media that 4125 Covid-19 cases were reported on Tuesday.

Thiruvananthapuram topped the list among districts with 681 cases. Malappuram district recorded 444 cases while Ernakulam recorded 406. Idukki recorded least number of cases- 42.

19 deaths were confirmed due to the viral infection.

Out of 4125 cases, 3463 acquired the disease through local contact. Source of infection of 412 people is untraced. 87 health workers also include among the infected. 38,574 samples were examined within last 24 hours.

3007 people were declared recovered from the disease on Tuesday.

2,20,270 are undergoing observation across various districts in the state. 2,430 people were admitted to hospitals on Tuesday.

While nine more places were listed to hotspots in the state, seven were removed. The total number of hotspots now stands at 639.
