3026 fresh Covid 19 cases; 13 deaths reported in Kerala on Tuesday

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala has recorded 3026 fresh Covid 19 cases on Tuesday. 562 people from Thiruvananthapuram, 358 from Malappuram, 318 from Ernakulam, 246 from Kozhikode, 226 from Palakkad, 217 from Alappuzha, 209 from Kollam, 168 from Kottayam, 166 from Kasargode, 158 from Kannur, 129 from Thrissur, 85 from Idukki, 24 from Wayanad were tested positive for the viral infection.
13 deaths were reported as due to Covid-19 on Tuesday taking the total tally to 372.
Out of those who tested positive on Tuesday, 49 came from foreign countries while 163 came from other states in the country. 2723 people acquired the disease through local contacts. Out of these source of infection of 237 people remains unknown.
89 health workers are also included among the fresh infectees.
1,98,850 people are undergoing observation across the state. 1,80,963 people are in home/institutional quarantine and 17,887 people are in hospitals.
