Thiruvanthapuram: Academic year ended on March 31 with no emotional parting as students are at home.

Many retiring teachers ended their long career with heavy hearts as they couldn’t formally bid farewell to their schools and colleagues.

Schools have plans to ensure formal farewell to retiring teachers after the COVID-19 episode.

However, a lot of students shared their pain as they wouldn’t be able to see their friend again.

As for SSLC and higher secondary students, they have the hope of seeing their friends again.

They are yet to write remaining exams, curtailed due to COVID-19 spread.

Conducting exams immediately after COVID-19 episode tops the priorities of department of education.

The latest dates will be scheduled considering the CBSE and other exams, according to K. Jeevan babu, director general education.
