Ebrahim Kunju to be quizzed again

Thiruvananthapuram: A meeting of investigation officials presided by Vigilance Director S. Anilkanth, has decided to interrogate former minister Ebrahim Kunju MLA and former ex-officio Managing Director of Roads and Bridges Corporation and KMRL MD APM Mohammed Haneesh, again in detail, in connection with the irregularities in Palarivattom flyover bridge construction.

Notices will be served on Ebrahim Kunju and Haneesh to appear for questioning.   Reports indicate that arrests may happen if more evidence emerges.

The Vigilance had quizzed T O Sooraj (former Public Works Secretary, now under suspension) and Ebrahim Kunju once. However, the investigation team held that more clarification is required in the statements given by the four accused.  

A few of the top officials of Public Works Department also will be questioned. Those who are found culpable will be arrested.

IG H. Venkitesh, investigation officers SP V.G. Vinodkumar, DySP S.P. Ashok Kumar and others were in attendance at the meeing.
