Kochi: The Kerala high court on Tuesday asked the government to forthwith put to forensic examination weapons used by the Thunderbolt force, as well as probing the role of police in the encounter at Attappadi.
Also, the court granted permission to cremate bodies of the 2 Maoists Manivasagam and Karthi, after collecting their fingerprints.
The crime branch had been directed by the HC to investigate role of police in the incident.
The results of forensic examination should be submitted to Palakkad Sessions Court.
