Kozhikokde: Sabitha Sekhar, Mother of Allan Shubaib, who has been arrested on charges of Maoist links, came down heavily on Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday saying it was cruel on the part of CM to brand him a Maoist.
Talking to reporters she said that chief minister insulted Allan by terming him a Maoist but she remained silent because her priority was to get him released from jail.
She also pointed at CPM politburo’s stand that UAPA would not be implemented in Kerala.
When asked whether CPM let her down, she said party is not an individual.
After NIA took over the case, her all hopes got dashed, she said.
If he had not been arrested, Sabitha believed, Allan would have been in the forefront of protest against CAA.
