Thiruvananthapuram: The Red alert issued in Malappuram and Idukki districts considering the low pressure warning given by Met department has been withdrawn.
The department had warned that heavy to very heavy rainfalls are expected in Kerala from Saturday to Tuesday.
Rains of 21 cm are likely to occur within 24 hours on Sunday. The Red alert was issued in Idukki and Malappuram after this prediction.
An orange alert has been issued in Pathanamthitta and Wayanad till Sunday and Palakkad till Monday.
