Malappuram: DGP Loknath Behra has instructed to register case against former SI KG Baby as per POCSO ('Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences') Act in connection with abuse of a ten years old girl at a cinema theatre in Edappal.
The instruction came after it was learnt that Changaramkulam police did not register the case even after visual evidence of the abuse was given.
Earlier, District police chief Debesh Kumar Behra had suspended KG Baby for the inaction.
Speaker P. Sri Ramakrishnan had condemned the police inaction and said it was a "shame" for Kerala police.
