IMD warns of heavy rain in 11 districts

The Indian Meteorological department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain with gusty wind with speed reaching up to 60 kmph likely in Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Malappuram and Wayanad districts.

Red alert has been issued in 11 districts in the state except Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Kasaragod.

In Kasaragod and Kollam, isolated heavy rains are likely to hit a few places. No alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram as of now. Yellow alert was issued in Kollam and Kasaragod.
