Chennai: Southern Railway General Manager RK Kulshreshta has said that the Mangalore-Kochuveli and other two sections will soon have Antyodaya rakes.
Antyodaya rakes are fully unreserved and super-fast with modern amenities. Drinking water, mobile charging points, cushioned luggage racks, bio-toilets and fire extinguishers will be provided in the rakes.
Railways operate Antyodaya Express overnight and in the sectors where there is heavy demand for seats. The General Manager also said that a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the third railway line from Ernakulam to Shoranur is also being prepared.
