Website of Local Self Government hacked
text_fieldsPalakkad: The website of Local Self Government, lsgkerala.gov.in, was hacked allegedly by hackers from Bangladesh, for 12 hours on Tuesday. The control of the website was lost during the hours and users could not access the site.
IT experts of the government regained the control by 12 noon on Tuesday which was hacked on Monday midnight. The experts claimed that data was not hacked and information is safe.
The home page of the site was displaying a message "TEAM_CC hacked the website” during the hours. Experts believe that a Bangladesh hacker team is behind the attack. The same message had been displayed in the home page of Madhya Pradesh High Court's website when it was hacked three days ago. Investigation has pointed to involvement of Bangladeshi hackers in the incident.
IT cell of Kerala government claimed that within hours after attack, the website could be restored and the data was intact. Security of other websites under the control of government has been beefed up in the wake of the new incident. Further probe can bring out the details of real culprits, said IT Cell experts.
