She was murdered, Liga's sister says

Thiruvananthapuram: Ilze Skromane, sister of Liga- a Latvian woman whose body was found in a decomposed state, said that her sister was murdered and criticized the state police's callousness.

While addressing the media, she told, "I am sure she cannot go there by herself. She was wearing a jacket that does not belong to her. Even the way in which the body was found was not in a natural position."

"We will not leave her predators and will continue to stay in Kerala to monitor the investigation," Liga said.

Andrew, live in partner of Liga, also echoed the opinion.

"I don't think she could have gone to the spot alone. Where did she get the jacket from? If she had walked there, why did she not have her shoes?" said Andrew. He appealed to the people of Kerala to come forward if they have any information about what happened.

Ilze and Andrew complained of the callousness on the part of police who did not turned up in the most crucial initial days.

"They kept taking it lightly and said that she will return in 24 to 48 hours. The special investigation team was formed only on the 19th day," said Ilze.
