Fire mishap at Kozhikode Collectorate, files destroyed

Kozhikode: Several old files were destroyed in a minor fire which broke out at the District Collectorate here Friday, police said. No one was injured, police said.

There was also no damage to property in the fire which broke out in the first floor of the building around 2.30 pm, according to Special Branch police here.

Four fire tenders doused the flames after an hour, they said.

Electrical short circuit is suspected to be the reason for the mishap, according to police.
