Dileep likely to be named first accused in actress assault case

Kochi: Actor Dileep, who is out on bail in the actress assault case, is likely to be named as the first accused in the additional chargesheet. Dileep is currently the eleventh accused in the case.

As per reports, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) that probed the case has received a legal opinion that the offence of conspiring for a crime is as serious as committing it.

According to sources, the probe team is likely to submit the chargesheet before Angamaly Magistrate court next week.

The police team is of an opinion that Pulsar Suni, the prime accused, had no personal enmity with the actress. He worked solely on the directions of Dileep, who personally supervised the moves.

The SIT aims to close all loopholes and would list out scientific evidences and also the witness statements from over 20 persons from the film industry separately in the chargesheet.

Sources said the investigation team needed to have solid proof case if it wanted to arraign actor Dileep as the first accused in the case in the additional chargesheet.
