Thiruvananthapuram: The Vigilance special court here has ordered a quick verification against Cooperation Minister Kadakampally Surendran over the appointment of the Director of Agency for Non-conventional Energy and Rural Technology (ANERT).
The court on Tuesday asked the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) to file the report on a complaint against the appointment of R Harikumar as the Director of ANERT.
Kovalam MLA M Vincent, in his complaint, alleged that the minister did not follow the procedures in the appointment of Harikumar, who faces a Vigilance probe in a case related to financial mismanagement.
The court has asked the Vigilance to file the quick verification report within 30 days.
