Three taken into custody in Bipin murder case

Tirur: Three persons have been taken into custody in connection with the murder of RSS worker Bipin Das in Kodinji near here.
Bipin, 24, a coconut climber, was the second accused in the Kodinji Faizal murder case.
Police sources said that one of the persons in custody had been involved in the conspiracy to execute the crime. The two others are being questioned as part of the probe.
The police have not revealed the identity of those in custody.
Bipin, who was out on bail in Faisal murder case, was hacked to death by a gang early morning Thursday. A group of people, including children on their way to a madarsa, saw his badly slashed body near a road.
Faizal was murdered on November 19 last year. It was believed that he was killed because Faizal, who was earlier known as Anil Kumar alias Unni, had converted to Islam in the Middle East.
After Faizal’s killing, police had arrested 16 people. Das was the second accused in that case.
After Faizal was murdered, a few of his close relatives also embraced Islam.
