Case against Senkumar for forging documents
text_fieldsThiruvananthapuram: A case has been registered against former State Police Chief T P Senkumar for allegedly producing fake documents to draw full salary of the eight-month period when he was on leave.
He has been booked under four sections including a non-bailable section. Senkumar hence may have to face police procedures including arrest.
He allegedly tried to avail a benefit of Rs 8 lakh from the government by submitting ‘fake medical certificates’ to show that he was under medical leave during the eight months. It’s alleged that he tried to convert his half-pay leave into full-pay leave, which will help him draw full salary.
The case has been registered on the basis of Vigilance inquiry which was conducted under the directive of Chief Secretary Nalini Netto. The investigation will be led by Cantonment Assistant Commissioner.
Meanwhile Senkumar told the media that he had only converted half-pay leave into medical leave.
