New Delhi: An Air India crew member was arrested for trying to smuggle drugs on the flight.

The cabin crew member, a Keralite was tracked down after more than a month of investigation. His arrest was registered on Friday night.

The narcotic substance was found in the food trolley of the Air India flight 440 that came from Dubai via Chennai. A suspicious packet was found at Delhi airport on July 19.

Airport authorities were left baffled as it was clearly a breach of security and is suspected to be an insider's job who had easy access to the food trays.
