10-yr-old Malayali girl shot & greviously injured in London

London: A 10-year-old girl from Kerala was shot and grievously injured in London on Wednesday in a firearm attack that injured three more adults. The attack happened in a Turkish restaurant in London's Hackney on the day at 9.20 p local time.

The injured, who is in critical condition and under medical treatment, is identified as Lissel Maria, daughter of Vinaya and Ajeesh, resident of Kerala's Kochi in Ernakulam.

The injured were rushed to a major trauma centre of an east London hospital, Manorama Online reported.

Police say that the attack could have been a drive-by shooting at the restaurant in Dalston.

Lissel and her family settled in Birmingham some two years back. They were eating at the restaurant when the firing incident happened.
