text_fieldsKochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday pronounced a crucial ruling, allowing a female couple to live together. The court was hearing the petition of one of the couple, Adila Nazrin, who alleged that her partner, who wished to live with her, was held captive by her family.
Nazrin had filed a Habeas corpus petition in the HC, alleging that her partner was adducted, and the police produced her before the court.
Adila Nazrin, a native of Kerala's Aluva and her partner, who hails from Thamarassery in the state, met during their school years in Saudi Arabia and fell in love. After learning the same, both of their families stood against their relationship, but it continued even after both came to Kerala. The couple, who had decided to live together, was living in a shelter home in Kozhikode recently.
