Will pray for the country tomorrow: Arvind Kejriwal over arrests
text_fieldsNew Delhi: The Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that he was worried about the state of affairs in the country, referring to the arrests of Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain.
Kejriwal said in a video message that he would pray for the country tomorrow during the Holi celebrations and urged people to do the same alongside celebrating Holi.
Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain who improved government schools and hospital from their bad shape are in jail, he said.
He said he is worried about the country where the Prime Minister jails people who ensure good education and good health facilities, while supporting people who rob the country.
Kejriwal urged people to join the prayer if they believe PM Modi is doing wrong, taking out time while celebrating Holi.
As to Manish Sisodia or Satyendar Jain, Kejriwal said he is not worried about them as they are being ‘brave’.
"They are very brave. They can die for the country. No one can break their resolve. I am worried about the state of the country. There is no one to work for the common man or listen to the common man," he was quoted by NDTV as saying.
Praising the jailed leaders, Kejriwal said Manish Sisodia provided the poorest the kind of education that was available only to the rich.
He added that Satyendar Jain changed the face of health facilities, setting up mohalla clinics after 75 years of independence.
But they are thrown in jail on false charges," he reportedly said.
Satyendar Jain was arrested in May last year in a corruption case and Manish Sisodia on February 26.
