New Delhi: The alleged sexual harassment case involving the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, has been transferred to the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (ACMM), as decided by a Delhi court on Thursday.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) of Rouse Avenue Courts forwarded the case to ACMM Harjeet Singh Jaspal, who specifically handles cases related to Members of Parliament (MPs) and Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs).

The case has been scheduled for June 27.

Last week, the Delhi Police submitted a charge sheet of over 1,000 pages in court against Brij Bhushan Singh, along with former WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar.

The charge sheet, filed before CMM Mahima Rai, lists various offenses under Sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (making sexually colored remarks), and 354D (stalking) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against Brij Bhushan Singh. Additionally, offenses under Sections 109 (offer a bribe), 354, 354A, and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC were filed against Vinod Tomar.

According to sources, the charge sheet includes statements from approximately 200 witnesses.

The FIR lodged at Connaught Place police station alleges that six adult grapplers were subjected to attempted coercion and inappropriate behaviour by Singh.

The accusations include offering supplements in exchange for sexual acts, inviting a wrestler to his bed, hugging athletes, and engaging in assault and inappropriate touching.
