Kolkata: Trinamool Congress is now in the lead in 23 constituencies. Well-known figures in their respective constituencies include Sayani Ghosh, Abhishek Banerjee, Kirti Azad, Satabdi Roy, Pratima Mondol, Arup Chakroborty, and Kakoli Dastidar Ghosh.

BJP, however, is in the lead in 13 seats, including Darjeeling, Asansol, and Jalpaiguri. The Congress is in the lead in Jangipur and Behrampur, which are represented by Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha.

West Bengal's general elections of 2024 took place in seven phases between April 19 and June 1, to elect 42 members to the 18th Lok Sabha.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Left Front and Indian National Congress coalition, and the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) are the key competitors from West Bengal.
