VK Sasikala to be released from jail on January 27
text_fieldsChennai: VK Sasikala, the former interim general secretary of AIADMK and the aide of former Chief Minister Jayalalitha is expected to release from jail on 27thof this month. There will be chances to have internal conflicts in ADMK as the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly is on doorstep. Sasikala is set to be released from jail in the meantime when first round of election campaign started in Tamil Nadu. EdappadiPalaniswami is the Chief Minister candidate of Anna DravidaMunnetraKazhagam in upcoming Legislative Assembly elections which is set to be held on May 2021.
Edappadi followers are strictly opposing Sasikala's political stance. However, after Jayalalitha's death O Paneerselvam took stubborn action against Sasikala's family that later led to the splitting of party itself. Regarding this action the silence of Paneerselvam is became a point of debate in Tamil Nadu. Some leaders from ADMK has officially came out by giving support to Sasikala even after there is competition lies between the organization as well as governance between Edappadi and Paneerselvam. This has created tension among party cadres.
Meanwhile, Gokula Indira, the former Minister and ADMK's Secretary praised VK Sasikala. She said "Along with Jayalalitha, her aide Sasikala has led a life of sacrifice. All these efforts are using to insult her and this cannot be tolerated". "The clashes between ADMK and Sasikala's nephew T T V Dinakaran led Amma MakkalMunnetraKazhagam is just like the fight between siblings for property after Amma's death" told KT Rajendra Balaji, the Minster for Milk and Diary development in Tamil Nadu. After getting released from jail Sasikala will reportedly support the decisions of ADMK.
In a program convened under BJP's national president JP Nadda, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh theorist and Tughlaq Tamil weekly founder S Gurumoorthi told "In order to prevent DMK from power ADMK must hold hands with VK Sasikala".
