Mangaluru: Five Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) activists were taken into custody by the police for allegedly throwing stones at the Badriya Mosque in Katipalla, located on the outskirts of Mangaluru, Karnataka, according to a report by India Today.

The attack occurred on the eve of the Eid-e-Milad festival around 10:30 pm when four miscreants on two bikes threw stones at the mosque, shattering its windows.

Local residents gathered near the site, and police were deployed to maintain order. The Mangaluru Police Commissioner confirmed the arrests and stated that the situation remains peaceful and under control, though further investigation is ongoing.
