UP teen sets herself on fire,dies, after men in neighourhood harass her

New Delhi: An 18-year-old girl in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatepur died by suicide after two men living in her neighbourhood allegedly harassed her.
The girl’s family in Hussaingunj here claimed that these men used to molest her daily and finally she set herself on fire on Sunday morning, NDTV reported.
‘She was harassed while she was going to her residence. Upset over the incident, she set herself on fire at her house. Before she took her last breath, she told her mother the names of the two men who had harassed her,’ her family member was quoted as saying.
Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Shankar Mishra said that ‘A forensic team has been called and an investigation is underway. The accused will be arrested soon.’
The victim's family has demanded not to conduct post-mortem until the accused are arrested.
