Noida: The property dealer from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, whose charred body was found in a Toyota Fortuner SUV Tuesday, did not die of fire but was allegedly choked to death by his friends, identified as Vishal and Jeet, according to NDTV.

Sanjay Yadav was allegedly murdered after a beer party, according to the report.

Vishal and Jeet looted Yadav’s ornaments and left the body in the SUV before allegedly setting it ablaze in a forest area in Dadri on Monday night, the outlet reported citing investigation.

Yadav’s family members told the police that he had gone to meet his friends Vishal Rajput and Jeet Choudhary.

It is reported that the accused have been arrested alongside registering a case against them, just as Yadav’s family alleged that the duo must have murdered him.

Police reportedly said that both men admitted to murdering Yadav to loot his money and jewellery.

Yadav visited them Monday evening and three had beer, before Vishal and Jeet allegedly choked Yadav to death with a dog collar.

Afterwards, they put his body in the back seat of the SUV and set the car on fire.

Jeet suffered minor burn injuries while committing the crime, according to the police.

Ashok Kumar, Additional DCP, Greater Noida reportedly said that after having Yadav drunk, Vishal Rajput and Jeet Choudhary choked him with a dog collar and drove the SUV to a deserted area to dispose of the body.

‘They then set the SUV on fire with the body inside it. The accused have been sent to jail and further probe is on,’ Ashok Kumar was quoted as saying.

It is reported that police recovered cash and ornaments including gold rings, a bracelet and a gold chain from them alongside finding the dog collar used in the murder.
