UP polls : From Saturday, Priyanka Gandhi will start her virtual election campaign
text_fieldsA day after canceling her major campaign rallies due to the Covid-19 surge, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will commence campaigning for the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
It will be launched at 2 p.m. via Facebook, YouTube, and social media accounts of the party. Priyanka will also be answering questions on the platforms, according to the Congress sources.
Sanjay Singh, AAP UP's in-charge and a Rajya Sabha MP, said on Thursday that all rallies are now being held virtually after the Congress, BJP, SP, and AAP canceled their campaigns.
In many districts of the state, including Ghaziabad and Jewar, the AAP has scheduled rallies and a foot march. On January 8 in Varanasi, on January 9 in Sahibabad, and on January 10 in other districts.
It was also announced earlier this week that the Samajwadi Party had canceled its Vijay Rath Yatra scheduled for January 7, 8, and 9 in Uttar Pradesh.
The BJP is also engaging people through electronic platforms in the state. BJP IT cell convener Kameshwar Mishra said that the saffron party is organizing virtual and e-programs during this election period.
