Uttar Pradesh witnessed the spike of Covid 19 cases in the last week. Up recorded 2038 fresh cases yesterday alone. This high transmission rate has been the concern of all major political organizations. Considering the alarming rate of increase in the case Congress already canceled the scheduled campaigns ahead of the election. Today, the Aam Aadmi Party announced the cancellation of the scheduled meeting.

In response to the surge in Coronavirus infections, Aam Aadmi Party canceled all public meetings and rallies in the run-up to the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, AAP's UP chief, said that now, all rallies will take place virtually.

In many districts of the state, including Ghaziabad and Jewar, the AAP has scheduled rallies and a foot march. On January 8 in Varanasi, on January 9 in Sahibabad, and on January 10 in other districts.

Arvind Kejriwal, the convener of AAP and Delhi Chief Minister, was scheduled to address the rally, but he will now be replaced by Sanjay Singh after testing positive for Covid-19 two days ago.

Over the last 24 hours, there were 2,038 new cases of Coronavirus reported in Uttar Pradesh. There are currently 5,158 active cases.
